R U OK? CEO Katherine Newton joins National Centre for afternoon tea

Today, National Centre staff were privileged to host an afternoon tea with Katherine Newton, the CEO of R U OK? Day.

Born from lived experience, R U OK? is a national day of action to inspire and empower everyone to meaningfully connect with the  people around them and start a conversation with those in their world who may be struggling with life.

“You don’t need to be an expert,” said Katherine. “Just a great listener. It’s also important to ask only when you are ready to genuinely hear however someone responds, and give as much time as needed.”

To learn more about the R U OK? initiative, get free resources, how to ask “R U OK?” and more, visit the R U OK? website.
