Primary Health Networks
The Department of Health, Disability and Ageing funds 31 Primary Health Networks (PHNs) across Australia, with the primary goals of:
- Improving the efficiency and effectiveness of health services for people, particularly those at risk of poor health outcomes; and
- Improving the coordination of health services and increasing access and quality support for people.
In each state and territory there is at least one Pilot site supporting primary health care services. The role of the Pilot sites is to:
- Support the primary care sector to recognise and respond to domestic, family, and sexual violence
- Support recovery and healing related to domestic, family and sexual violence
