“The one change I want is for reform in the court system to allow for pre-recorded testimonies for victim survivors. Waiting for court was like putting my life on hold. Although healing is an ongoing journey, it was like I couldn’t even begin to take steps for it as I was just waiting to go to court – all of the lead up. All up it was around 2-3 years before we made it to court. I want future victim survivors who are pursuing this pathway to have more choice in the way they engage and this action would allow them to provide their evidence in a manner that likely would feel more safe than on the day in court, let alone the anxiety of the lead up.”
